Our fearless director, Tash Abernethy attended the Southern African Regional Exporters Awards hosted by USAID Southern Africa Trade & Investment Hub and ECDC, where we were one of the nominees to the Buyer of the year prize.
We were up against many well established firms, so the nomination was already a feather in our cap. Winning the award was a bonus!
“We were grateful and honoured to have been awarded ‘Buyer of The Year 2022’ at the recent Southern African Regional Exporters Awards.” Says Tash.
“This award recognized our performance as a buyer in supporting our Zambian Moringa Farm to successfully export the produce into South Africa, of which we distribute as a wholesale product across the country and into the US Market under AGOA.”
“We must recognize the impact that firms such as @usaidzambia and @tikzn have had on creating the sustainable linkages in our supply and distribution chain. Thank you!”
We are very proud of our team!
Well done to the other 3 winners and thanks again to USAID Southern Africa Trade & Investment Hub and ECDC for all the support over the years.
At Moringa Initiative, we grow and process our Moringa ourselves on our farm in Zambia, where we have been farming 35 hectares of USDA organic Moringa for the past 7 years, providing us with 45 tons of dried leaf per annum.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our product, being transparent in all our farming processes and practices. Our moringa is dried in a convectional heat exchange system where temperature, humidity and air circulation are carefully monitored, resulting in the highest quality dried Moringa leaves.
